All religions are NOT the same. Consider Islam for example. They do not believe that Jesus is the Son of God while Christianity obviously does. Or consider Hinduism that believes in many gods while Islam and Christianity do not. These are only a couple of examples, but I do think they help clarify that all religions are not the same.
I know of some who claim that all religions are the same in the fact they all basically lead to the same place. For example, when you die you go to Heaven, experience Nirvana, or whatever. It's bascially the same place. But none of the religions themselves claim that all end up together nor do they claim the same ways to get to Heaven, etc.... For example, Christianity has specific claims in regards to Heaven. The Bible teaches that only by trusting in Christ and what he did on the cross qualifies one for Heaven. Many other religions refute this and say that it is not by trusting in Jesus, but by being obeying certain commands or ridding yourself of evil desires. Completely different!
Understanding a basic rule of logic, called the law of non-contradiction will help us understand what I have been writing about. This law states that it cannot be both A and non-A at the same time. In other words, when the Bible states that Jesus is the only way to Heaven and some other religion claims some other way, they both cannot be right. It cannot be both Jesus and not Jesus at the same time. Make sense?
So, all religions are not the same nor do they claim to be the same! So the question now is which one is right?
